My Mother's cousin Abigail Brown was married to John Capaldi in the 1960s.
Abigail Babcock Brown EDGECLIFF VILLAGE--Abigail Babcock Brown, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 in Edgecliff Village, Texas. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Family, friends, and others whose lives Abigail touched are invited to a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the chapel at Broadway Baptist Church, 305 W. Broadway Ave., Fort Worth, Texas, 76104. Abigail was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Narberth, Pa., to Lewis Sarle Brown and Daisy Adams Brown. The Brown family moved from Narberth to Fort Worth in 1954, when Sarle Brown accepted a faculty position at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Abigail joined the family in Texas and studied at the University of Texas at Austin, where she married John Capaldi. After Abigail and John divorced, Abigail lived for a time with her sister Ann's family in Princeton, N.J., and then returned to Texas. Abigail and her partner, Carla, operated an organic farm in Betram, Texas. Abigail was an advocate for progressive causes. She was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church, sang with the choir, and supported the ministries of the church. She believed that all people are precious and that there is no such thing as a lost cause. SURVIVORS: Abigail is survived by her sister, Ann Johnson; her niece, Nancy Brown; and her nephews, David Brown, Lewis Johnson, and Richard Johnson.
