I met Ricky through Eberhard and Elizabeth Steiniger. Eb was the golf course superintendent at Pine Valley Golf Course for over 50 years. Elizabeth and Ricky became friends when they were toddlers. Because Eb was going blind, Ricky would read any and all kinds of news to him three days per week until he passed in 2002. She especially loved to read anything to him about Penn State.
I was blessed to have known Ricky for 50 years and able to visit with her in Haddonfield and Collingswood over the years. We had some very special times together and loved those phone calls.
She is with that group of “dancing angrls” now in Heaven. When I see her again, I hope she saved a dance for me.
Thank you, Ricky, for allowing me to be a part of your special life on this earth.
Love, Christine King

My mother Muriel Thomas had the pleasure of meeting Ricky in the 90’s when they both were in the Dance Group at the Haddonfield Methodist Church. They had great fun and good memories of dancing together and visiting different nursing homes to perform. Ricky always talked about getting dressed up as the Statue of Liberty in their NEW YORK NEW YORK performance and laughed about all the fun they had!!! She was a precious friend to my Mom and became one to me as well! As they grew older together, Mom and Ricky would go out to lunches with their dance friends and they always stayed in touch over the years.
I would make soup for my Mom and always took some over to Ricky at the Haddonfield Commons. She was the most welcoming, caring, always remembered your birthday and a ray of beautiful sunshine and light! I had the honor of visiting her while she lived at Collingswood Manor and was so kind and loving...always waving, saying “Jesus loves you” and happy to be visited. She will be missed by me, as a beautiful, dear, loving friend... my life has been so enlarged and blessed by knowing her and I can see her full of great joy and awe, being in the presence of our glorious Lord!! My Mom has welcomed her into heaven and I can see them dancing and laughing together!!!! Ricky we will miss you!!! Thank you for all your love and beautiful heart and spirit!!!!!

Please do not buy the tree advertised here. We did not ask that a tree be planted in her memory.
