Edward Kostick Madrack Went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2016 age 92years of Berlin, NJ. Son the late Kostick and Mary (nee: Corney)and brother of the late Bernard and John. Survived by his loving wife Mary (nee:Gryziec), two sons Edward of Williamstown, NJ, Gary of Gloucester City, NJ, a daughter Janice Adams of Newark, DE, and a sister Dolores Wilkes of Lafayette, IN. Edward was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on April 25, 1924. He grew up in Plymouth, PA and attended Davenport High School. After high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps during World War II. While in the service, he played baseball for the Marines and was trained as a military aircraft gunner. On November 28, 1947 Edward married Mary Anne Gryziec. They lived together in Philadelphia and then settled in to a home he had built in Berlin, NJ in 1962. While living there, one of his proudest accomplishments was helping found the Gibbsboro Little League and building their first baseball fields. Edward worked for the Philadelphia Phillies as an usher and security guard from 1962 to 1976. He had three children of his own. Those three children provided him seven grandchildren who in turn gave him nine great grandchildren, all of which lovingly referred to him as Pop Pop. I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun. Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
