Mama Pearl was a role model for all of us who were gifted having her in our lives. As a woman,as a wife, as a mother and as a friend, she was always an example of integrity. Her passion for life and love for her family were admirable. She was with us in every step of our lives. In good and in bad times, crying or laughing, she always had the right answer and the right attitude when we needed it the most. Her strength was my strength more than once.We did learn a lot from her and I know, she gave to us the best from her.Her determination and wisdom were compelling and they were her signature. The richness of her soul touched more than one person's heart. We will miss her but the memory of her love, her integrity and courage will live with us forever.

To Joseph and the Winters family, it has been a blessing to know your mother, Pearl, she was business alert and savvy to the end. I know that there will be many fond memories of her because I have my own. I pray that God's grace be a comfort to you during this hour of bereavement. God bless, Wilbur Jordan and family.

Ma Pearl was the best Mother-in-Law a guy could hope for! Her love of history, particularly American Revolutionary history and the life of Benjamin Franklin, has inspired me to study it more. She shared a birth date, January 17th, with Ben Franklin and she delighted in that fact.
It was a pleasure to be in her company.

I met Pearl through her life long school friend, Becky Hale a few years ago (maybe 10). We hit it off and I knew we were meant to be friends. We would talk about anything and everything. We made many trips up to Toms Rivers to see Becky. once a month, always stopping for a chicken sandwich and coffee at McDonalds. One of Pearl's favorites. I will miss her. Janet

In retrospect, Momma Pearl's Life Trip took 93 years, but seemed to be over too soon. She was a powerful fixture and "force of Nature" in the lives of not only her family, but friends and acquaintances as well. She cut a memorable figure in her signature silver hair, was quick to tap her toes in time to the music, and was never shy about offering an opinion. One of the strenghts we admired most was her compulsion to notate, collate and instinctively know the exact number of miles between point A and point B. She was the original low-tech Internet data gathering and GPS locating device and didn't even know it. We hope Momma Pearl is at rest now with her beloved husband, Tom, her mother and father, and all those she held dear. For the rest of us remaining here on Earth, we hope to do you proud!
Thanks again, Mom, for everything.....
Love, Kass (daughter Kathleen)
