I had a dream this morning: I was walking and Roy was behind me talking to me, I turned around so fast, gave him the biggest hug ever, and begged him to keep talking to me, and that's when I woke up. Why did I have to wake up?????? It was so good to see him and hear his voice!!!! There are so many things that I want to say to Roy and now I'll never have the chance to say them. I just hope and pray that Roy knows how much he will always mean to me and how blessed we were to have him in our family! Roy was the kindest, most generous and loving person I know. He was someone who truly loved life. He accepted everyone for who they were, and because of him I want to be a better person. Thank you Roy for being you!!!! I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life!!!!! (Us scorpios were supposed to stick together, so why aren't you here?)

I can honestly say that Roy Bowne, was a wonderful Brother-in-law & I'm so proud to call him that. He was always there to lend a hand if you needed him or a shoulder to cry on. He saw the positive in every situation. I will never forget the time that we hugged, at a family get together & his scorpion charm got caught on my Eagles jersey...we laughed so hard & he said, "Oh no, the stingers got you!", we just continued in our hug laughing. We also shared our own vocabulary, only we understood each other. I'm truly going to miss him & he will always have a special place in my heart. I was blessed to have known him & will forever cherish the memories. I love & miss Roy very much! Love always, Katie Wright

I will never forget my Uncle Roy. He taught me many interesting things. For example..."always tuck in your pinky if you get into a fight." Uncle Roy had a special motion when showing me this. I love you and will miss you! Love your nephew, Joshua Wright

A good name is better then a precious ointment : Roy Bowne
Roy is a true testament to this bible verse. I met Roy Mothers day of 2002 for the first time as well as meeting Lauras wonderful and loving family. I not much of a shopper and at the time I didn’t know I was getting a 2 for1 deal with Laura and Roy. It was the best deal I ever received. I was fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with Roy, as you can imagine everyone joked we were in love!
Living the Dream is something we always heard from Roy and he did! Whether he was doing what he loved to do with welding and creating something for someone he was truly a gifted artisan. Aside from work Roy loved to hang out with the guys. Everything from our weekend MT bike trips to taken the Whinny to the ballgame we were always laughing and having a great time at the expense of one of us!
Even is it was something as simple that Roy thoroughly enjoyed like sitting in the sun room watching any of the Philly teams and don’t get on your phone while a game is on, it’s bad luck and you will get thrown out if the other team scores while it happened no negativity as Roy would say.. I was also lucky enough to had vacation with Roy on several occasions: Florida for the Orange bowl, Our boys trip with to Dallas to watch the Eagles get spanked. (I still never forgive him for taking off his jersey and making take the blunt of the abuse from the crowd as Darryl pointed to my Eagles Jersey.. He’s a dallas fan BTW. . He said it was too hot to keep it on, I never let him live it down.
Roy called himself the kid with the golden arm! If you were around enough I’m sure you heard him talk about how great of a welder he was. He was extremely proud of his work and so were the rest of us.
Roy wasn’t the kid with the golden arm he was the kid with the golden heart! He loved his wife Carol
more than anyone could imagine, When he looked at her his world was complete! Roy loved his own family his in-laws his friend and everyone unconditionally he came in contact with. Roy Bowne was one of the most unselfish and generous people I have ever met to me and everyone around him. He was a true
Philanthropist.
To quote the bible: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Roy’s work is done on this earth; he did everything the Lord asked him to do. There will be a huge void on this earth for everyone who had the honor to be graced by him. Roy was one of a kind I know he is in Heaven looking down on all of us. May the lord bless his soul and everyone he has touched. I love you Brother.

Roy was like another family member in our home when he was young. He often celebrated his birthday with Dot, like a brother to the boys and felt like another son to me. I believe you inspired & encouraged one or two of the lads to pursue their field of endeavor. As a craftsman, you were unsurpassed, i joked you could weld water. You always had that smile I will always remember, a joy to know you as the man you became. God bless you & keep you kid, until we meet again. You are loved.

Roy will be missed by family, friends and all he came in contact with. He was selfless, always willing to help a friend in need. His house was always open to friends to watch the Philly sports teams and Roy and Carol were always gracious hosts. I am deeply saddened by the loss of a close friend, but I can only smile when I think of his humor, wit and unique view on life. Roy, you were one of a kind and heaven is now a better place with you in it.

Roy was a great person, top notch welder, dedicated husband and close friend. We had many good laughs together. He was passionate about riding like my self. He would help any one that needed him and he did. Many times my son and kids in the neighborhood would go to him so he could fix their bikes, quads. He will be missed. We love you Bro. Ride in the sky and always keep smiling.
