Beach Henry A. Duke Jr. Born September 3, 1921. Passed away on April 22, 2008 at his home of 86 yeaars in Kirkwood, NJ. Beloved husband of 68 years to Lillian Beach (nee Robinson). Loving father to the late Lillian (Paul) LaFountain of Pine Hill, NJ son Duke (Mary Lou) Beach III of Pine Hill, NJ, daughter Alice (William) Johnston of Voorhees, NJ ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A member of the Great Generation he served in the US Navy during WWII and was a charter member of the American Legion Post 371 in Gibbsboro, NJ. He was a Sanitation Engineer for 35 years and a founder of the Voorhees Township Police Department where he served for 22 years and became the departments first retiree. He was a standing member of the Law Enforcement Bowling League. A lover of animals he rescued a virtual zoo of both tame and wild animals. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday April 28, 2008 9:30 to 10:30am at St. Johns in the Wilderness Church in Gibbsboro, NJ. Services will follow at 10:30am. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Johns in the Wilderness Church, 77 Hilliards Road, Gibbsboro, NJ 08026.
