George Kalajian, 85, of Sicklerville, NJ, died March 15, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lucy, and sons Kevin of Sicklerville and Mike of Newark, DE. He is also survived by nieces Carol, Alice, Patty, Susan, Aline, and Lori also nephews Tom, George, and Jim, along with 18 great nieces and nephews.
George started out as a farmer, working long hard hours in the fields. He went on to drive tractor trailers for many years, continuing his legacy of hard work. Finally, he decided to go into business on his own and became the owner of a sharpening service.
He was an avid hobbyist, tinkering in arenas from metal to machinery. He was highly skilled in woodworking, often building furniture, toys, and buildings just from plans in his head.
George was a loving husband and a devoted father. He was a great man and a hard worker, and throughout his life he influenced us in more ways than we can ever know. He will be badly missed.
Viewing will be held on March 22, 2014 at 10:00am at Knight Funeral Home in Berlin, followed by funeral services . Procession to the internment at Sicklerville Methodist Cemetery will follow the funeral services.
