Henry “Hank” Schugardt 08/11/1952 - 09/26/2024 Hank passed peacefully after a brief illness on September 26, 2024 with Christine by his side at the hospital. He was born in Philadelphia and then moved to South Jersey. He lived in Willingboro, Clementon and Voorhees. He was an incredible athlete throughout his school years playing both baseball and football. He served his country in the Air Force and was honorably discharged. Hank was always a hard worker and continued his love of sports until the very end. Hank was so happy that he got to witness the Eagle’s Super Bowl win and both Phillies World Championships. Hank also loved classic rock music and enjoyed many concerts and his all time favorite was Bruce Springsteen. Hank had an amazing wealth of knowledge and could answer trivia questions on a variety of topics with little effort. Hank was the son of Henry and Della Schugardt. He is survived by two brothers, David (Wendy) and Donald and his son Henry and his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Hank is also survived by his fiancée, Christine Smith (née Berghaier). Hank also had a special place in his heart for the dogs he would babysit, Katie and Sarge. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations in his name to be made to the EaglesAutismFoundation.org. Hank will be laid to rest on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 am with his parents, at Odd Fellows Cemetery 4527 US Route 130 Burlington, NJ 08016.
