On May 27th 2024, surrounded by family, Bob passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (nee Barclay), and children, Eileen Carbonaro (Anthony), Danielle Furfari (Matt), Jason (Jillian), and Robert (Staci). Parents, Robert and Anna (Dougherty) Bickerdyke. Siblings, Lorraine Arndt, David (Linda), and Dawn Mass (Kevin). Grandchildren, Lauren Garrity (Tommy), David Garrity (Cait), Alex Furfari (Anna), Frankie Furfari, Bobby Bickerdyke, Carter Bickerdyke, Billy, Nikki and Brandi. Great-grandchildren, Caylee, Gracelyn, Madelyn, and TJ. Brother-in-law, Dan Barclay (Rita), sisters-in-law, Ann Marie DeVries, Linda Spagnolo, and Barbara Barclay. Bob was also loved by his extended family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Grand furbaby, Harper. Predeceased by his mother-in-law, Eileen Barclay, and brothers-in-law, William Barclay and Stuart DeVries. Bob was born and raised in Clementon and attended Overbrook High School. Bob worked in construction and retired as a Plasters Union Local 8 member. Bob, an avid Philadelphia sports fan, loved golfing with his friends and family. Bob was a beloved Berlin AA baseball and soccer coach with his sons. He loved spending time with his family, especially attending his grandsons sporting events. Bob was devoted to his family, and caring for them was his life's mission. He will be sorely missed by all. Viewing will be held on Monday, June 3 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at St. Simon Stock Parish/OLMC, 178 White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ, 08009. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 4 at 10:30am where family and friends may call 9:30am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s name can be made to St. Vincent DePaul’s Thrift Store, 175 White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009.
