Obituary of Joseph Early

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph F. Early, 64 of Berlin, NJ, who was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. Joseph, a proud graduate of Eastern High School, dedicated a chapter of his life to serving in the United States Navy, stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. Following his honorable service, he immersed himself in the vibrant culture of the Grateful Dead band, embracing the music that spoke to his soul. For 22 years, Joseph found purpose in a temperature-controlled warehouse at "Sysco Philadelphia - Food Distributor & Restaurant Supplies," where he was not only a dedicated member of the proud Teamsters of Local 676 but also served as a shop steward for a period of time. In his well-deserved retirement, Joe continued to spread joy and laughter. A staunch Eagles fan, he could often be found cheering passionately for his favorite team or enjoying a round of golf. An avid poker player, Joe knew how to light up a room with his infectious spirit. He was the life of the party, always ready with a humorous anecdote or captivating story. In loving memory of Joseph, he is preceded in death by his cherished parents Bernard (Evelyn) Early II. and his beloved wife, Elizabeth Early. He is survived by his devoted son, Brock (Jennifer) Early, and stepsons Anthony (Nicole) Pangia, Joseph (Sandee) Pangia, and Dominic Bovio. Also left to cherish his memory are Bernard (Kasandra) Early III, John (Patricia) Early, Thomas (preceded by Virginia) Early, and his sister, Evelyn Early (Brian.) Joseph's zest for life and warm spirit will be forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace and may his enduring enthusiasm for life serve as an enduring inspiration for us all to embrace each moment with joy and laughter. He leaves behind a legacy that extends to his 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joe's life will be held at 10:30am on Monday, December 11th, 2023, at Knight Funeral Home in Berlin, NJ, where family and friends may call 9:30am.
