Lucy Kalajian, 94, of Newark, DE, died September 27, 2023. She is survived by her sister Zimme, her sons Kevin and Mike, both currently of Newark, DE. She is also survived by nieces Carol, Alice, Patty, Susan, Aline, and Lori also nephews Tom, George, and Jim, along with many great nieces and nephews.
Lucy grew up and spent most of her life in South Jersey. She was born Lucy Cherkinian in Camden and worked for GMAC prior to getting married.
She met and fell in love with George Kalajian, and they married on May 25, 1959. They built a house, and built their life, soon after that in Sicklerville.
Lucy became a homemaker and had two sons, first Kevin and later Mike. She was a loving mother, always devoted to her children and family.
She was a very giving person and touched many lives in ways she never knew. She will be truly missed by everyone.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Knight Funeral Home, 10:30am where friends and family may call 9:30am. Interment Sicklerville Methodist Cemetery.
