Went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2023 age 91years and lifelong resident of South Philadelphia.

Joe was born on December 28, 1931, to his parents Peter and Nancy ( Nee: DiDonato ). He is also predeceased by his loving wife Marie (Nee: Sbarra ) and sister Adele A. Knight ( Nee: Marra ),

He is survived by two devoted children Nancy ( Dominick ) Guerrera, Joseph ( Bonnie ) Marra, also six grandchildren, Amanda ( Mike ), Dominick ( Marisa ), Joseph ( Lauren ), Michael ( Samantha ), Christian, Caramia, and four cherished great grandchildren, Madisyn, Delaney, Colbie, and Lyla and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a US Army Veteran who served his country with pride and honor during the Korean War. He was the last living founding member of the Chadmore Club, where he competed in multiple sports, and found his love for baseball. Baseball was a huge part of Joe's life, as he played throughout his childhood and eventually played at a higher level throughout his service in the Army. He was fortunate enough to receive a contract offer from the Philadelphia A's. As an avid Philly sports fan, he enjoyed sharing his love for his Phillies with his grandchildren. Whether it was fishing, bowling, playing cards, or just going out on a Friday night dinner at Bombs Bombs, he was always happiest in the presence of his loved ones.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 19, 11:00am at the St. Simon Stock Parish / Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Campus 178 West White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ 08009, where family and friends may attend a visitation beginning at 9:30am. Interment with Military Honors and a loves reunion, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
