Fred Adolf of Albion, NJ passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born in Somerdale, NJ on November 14, 1931 to the late John Adolf and Johanna (nee Katz). Predeceased by brothers Joseph, John, Adam, and sister Anna. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the Army and he rose to the rank of Sargent and fought in the Korean War. In 1952 he enlisted in the Navy where he was a Gunners mate second class. He received an honorable discharge in 1956 and then married Alice Knecht who preceded him in death. He worked as a printer for Dornan’s Inc until he retired in 1990. He was a lifetime member of Square Circle Sportsmen's Club up until his death. He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Albion/Winslow Twp fire department for over 40 years. He was also an active member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter 54. He is survived by daughters Vicky Adolf of Atco, NJ, Barbara Fisher (Harry) of Pine Hill, NJ, and Kathy Adams (Walter) of Atco, NJ. He has 4 grandchildren, Michael Adolf (Debra), Marina Fisher (Kevin), Tawny Adams, and Courtny Coady (Caleb) and 2 great grandchildren, Maximillian Venable, and Sophie Coady. Services will be held at Knight Funeral Home at 10:30 on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Family and friends may call 9:30am. Burial will be private. No flowers please. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Korean War Vets or the VA home in Vineland.
