Obituary of William A. Brown

William A. Brown,Sr, 89, of Berlin passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Born in Berlin, Bill was the son of the late Frank and Jennie Brown. Bill held many jobs, most notably a United States Post Office carrier in Berlin, a florist, and a custodian at Berlin Community School. He loved sitting on his porch, trading stocks, tending to his garden, watching the kids play in the pool, and sharing snacks with his great-granddaughters. He was a faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Berlin for 78 years, where he volunteered with the Food Bank. He loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Bill enjoyed going to the casinos and car shows with his friends Bob, Paul and Joe- his lucky number was 3. Bill is survived by his three children, William Jr. and his wife Terrie of Whitinsville, MA, Kenneth and his wife Cathy of Sun City Center, FL and beloved daughter Cheryl and her husband Russell of Berlin, NJ. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren - Ryan, Brendan, Dana, William, Jonathan, Danielle, Delia, Natasha, Kenny, Cherathea, Chris and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Christina, his companion Mabel Wood, his beloved Dolly Brown, and his son Ronald. He also loved spending time with the Hungers and the Brown-Johnsons. Service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church, 149 S White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009 on Tuesday, January 3 at 10am. Entombment will be private.
