I’ve always said that I want to be Aunt Beckie when I grow up. She’s always made be laugh, smile, and feel loved! It was her super power! One memory that really holds a place in my heart was when I took Dad to see her for the last time before he passed. Seeing the two of them together still makes me smile through my tears and giggle a little. Neither could hear very well, so I was the spokesperson between them. They had no problem hearing me. Lol! They were so happy being together and sharing memories. I know they’re together now in Heaven. Rest In Peace, Aunt Beckie!

I see so much of who I am is attributed to who grandmom is. She always had a whimsical childlike way about her that I inherited. I loved going to see her at her place and seeing stuffed animals all over her couch, and listen to her make unfiltered jokes and love on the dogs and kiddos. My memories of her growing up are so positive and wonderful, and I only hope and wish I will grow up to be as healthy, and compassionate/loving as she was. I love you grandmom. I’ll do a crossword puzzle in your honor! I already miss you. Kimberly
