Obituary of Donna M. Wallen

Donna M. Wallen (nee: Asher), 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 13, 2021, daughter of the late Horace and Ruth (nee: Falcon) Asher of Deptford, NJ. Donna was born in Camden, NJ on December 16, 1941.  She was a lifelong resident of Tabernacle, NJ.  She is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years Ralph S. Wallen, Jr. (Bud).  Known as Donna or Momma Wallen to everyone that knew her, she loved her family, friends, and her church more than anything in the world.  She was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church and was a leader and loved to serve her community.  She was also very active in many church activities and women’s groups.   She was devoted to her husband Bud and spent a lot of time at the Jersey Shore either boating or at the beach, it was her happy place.  They enjoyed going to Florida and taking long car rides together.   After moving to the farm she spent many days in her garden and enjoyed flower arranging. Donna had a gift of being a tremendous cook/baker, there wasn’t anything that she couldn’t make.  This made her very happy to be able to share her culinary talents with many people.  Everything that she made was made with love and she put her heart and soul into it.  She was a devoted mother and the best Horse Show mom to all and made the greatest fishing buddy ever.  She will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her especially, her four-legged pal, Miley.   Donna was a loving mother to her two children, Donna Marie Wallen, Ralph S. Wallen IV (Lara) both of Tabernacle, NJ.  She is also survived by her grandson Blake Wallen, the love and light of her life.  Her loving sister, Alice M. Johnson (Wayne) of Williamstown, NJ, She is predeceased by her sister Louise E. Gambino, her brother-in-law, Barry S. Wallen of Tabernacle, NJ and many nieces and nephews that are very dear to her heart.  Services will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church on Friday, March 19, 10:30 a.m. where family and friends may call 9:30 a.m. (Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.) Burial will be at Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Tabernacle United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 166 Carranza Rd. Tabernacle, NJ 08088.
