Obituary of Mildred K. Brown

On November 10, 2020 Mildred Knight Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 99 years. Mildred was preceded by her husband John (Jack) Brown of the Brown & Edgewood Insurance Agencies. Her parents, Judge William B Knight Esq., and Lillian E Knight, her Brothers William B Knight Esq. and James Knight. The Knight family was all from Berlin, NJ. She will be missed by her children, Douglas(Catherine)Hasbrouck, Diane(Thomas)Taylor, John/Jack (Jeanne Ann)Brown Jr. and Barbara (the late Stuart))Worrell, and grandchildren Stephanie, Thomas, Daniel, Stephen, Michael, Christopher, Scott and Jeffrey and great grandchildren Sydney Nicole Spancake, Jeramiah John Taylor, Michael and Erika Moore and 8 great-great-grandchildren. In her early years, Mildred was active in Eastern Star, she and Jack were long-time members in the Berlin Rotary, and Mildred was a lifetime member of Berlin Centenary Methodist Church. She spent her last 18 years at the Fountains in Atco after having to leave her home of 81 years on the White Horse Pike in Berlin. She always quoted from Corinthian 13:13 “and now these three remain: Faith, Hope & Love, but the greatest of these is Love.” She will be missed by all. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Berlin Cemetery, White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ. Covid-19 guidelines will be followed by the family requesting the use of facial masks. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mildred's memory to The Berlin Centenary Methodist Church, 149 S. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009.
