Obituary of A. Harry Moffett

Obituary of A. Harry Moffett, age 82, passed away on February 6, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Harry was a life long resident of Stratford, NJ. Harry was the oldest of two, survived by his sister Carole (John) Reeves. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Josie, of 55 years. Harry graduated from the Stratford Princeton School and Haddon Heights High School before completing his major in Accounting at Pierce Business School. After graduating, he worked for a CPA firm for a year before moving on to a position for a philanthropic private family in Pennsylvania. Harry retired after 50 years as their Office Manager/Executive Assistant. While working his full time job, Harry always enjoyed activities with his children, whether coaching his daughters in softball the Stratford Father and Son League or his sons in football on the Stratford Falcons. Harry was Commissioner of the League even years after his children no longer played. During his retirement, Harry acted on the Stratford school board to continue volunteering his time. His dedication to his family and community was unwavering. Harry and his late wife, Josie, are survived by their four children, William (Linda), Robert (Mary), Tammy Moffett, Nancy (Tom) Johnson; seven grandchildren, Michael (Brooke) Moffett, Steven (Alexis) Moffett, Nichole Tornatore (Joe Trembly), Holly Moffett, Joe Moffett, Keith Moffett & Christina Moffett; two great grandchildren, Austin & Carson Moffett; & many nieces, nephews & friends. The family will receive family & friends on Thursday February 13, 2020 from 9:30am to 11:00am; service at 11:00am at Knight Funeral Home, 14 Rich Ave. Berlin,NJ 08009. Inurnment will follow at Berlin Cemetery, Berlin. NJ
