Today, Sunday, Aug. 27th, our sermon in church was on bitterness and forgiveness. I can remember about 20 years ago I applied for an administrative job in my school system. I didn't get it. Barbara, my mentor and a great listener, said to me that I belonged with the children. To this day she was correct. She was the reason I got rid of my bitterness in this situation. Thanks, Barbara.

We will always cherish our time with Aunt Barbara as well as with Uncle Glenn, Grandma Audrey, and Grandpa Curtis. Our mother was her friend for 60 years and we were all one big happy family including our dad's and our mother's. Aunt Barbara was always loving, precious, kind, and a very good listener. She is in heaven and not suffering. God wrap his arms around Grandma Audrey and Uncle Glenn now and always.

It seems that as we get older it's less about the newest aches and more about the passing of more and more good friends. Barbara, you were a kind soul and it was a genuine pleasure to have known you.
Barb, Rest in Peace.

It is so hard to say good-bye to my big sister (my real big sister is 4 days younger than Barbara). She was such a great friend who always made me feel better. She was a good listener and always inspired me. I was just a toddler when she came into my life and am very thankful we remained friends. She is not suffering any more and is in a better place. May God guide and comfort Audrey and Glenn.

condolences to Mrs cloud and Glenn on the passing of Barbara. Growing up in the same neighborhood all the kids would gather together playing outside mostly every day. Barbara was always a sweet, girl and the most sensible being the voice of reason and reminding all of the right thing to do. Thanks Barbara for adding to our great childhood memories and fun.

I thank God that he has blessed me with almost 60 wonderful years being Barbara's friend. I used to tease her about being 4 days older than me. I was blessed to be part of her family (they would take me on vacations with them, had family gatherings before and after both of us married), She adopted my baby sister as her own and would have many pep talks with Charlotte as she had a lot of heath issues, even when Barbara herself had them. She was always positive and never complained about her own health. Besides having great parents, she married a wonderful man (Glenn). I would confide in her with 100% knowledge that she would keep things in confidence. My children called her Aunt Barbara and Glenn Uncle as well as Grandma Audrey and Grandpa Curtis. My family's comfort is that she is in a great place with our Father God and may he keep his arms around Glenn and Audrey now and in the future. She will be missed greatly and we will all continue to love her.

I was blessed to live next door to Barbara and Glenn while growing up. They were family to us and I have memories of them at every important event in my childhood. As an adult, Barbara became one of my best friends. Even though I lived faraway, she made it a priority to call me regularly and keep updated on what was going on in my life. She always had positive and loving things to say to lift my spirits when I needed encouragement and an extra dose of love. I will miss her cheerful voice, but I know that she is watching over me from heaven.

I love Barbara! She was very positive and upbeat. Jackie and I were talking and we will always remember spending snow days from school at her house, hot chocolate, home-made bread, and many games of Uno! We loved bbq-ing at their house in the summer, spending Christmas with her and Glenn, and one of my favorites, her bacon baked beans! We love you Barbara! Mark

Barbara was a special friend to me. I moved next door to her home in 1957 as a young married woman. She became my babysitter and the maturity and common sense she had was amazing. As a adult she and I talked frequently and as Barbara is, it usually was about how was I, what I was doing, where was I going, how is my family. I think her goal in life was making everyone know she cared. And she did! No matter how her health was, there was never a complaint and her medical problems never held her back. The marriage between she and Glenn was a perfect match. The special care they had for each other was obvious as was the love. I will miss her and will keep Glenn and Audrey in my thoughts.

Where do I begin! In this life you only have one true best friend who you can confide in and they can confide in and be trusted it would go no further, Barbara was mine. We shared everything, spoke on the phone every other day or one of us would go into withdrawl & need to catch up. We shared everything. Barbara & Glenn were my children's "Aunt & Uncle". They were in their lives from the moment the boys were born. They were with us every holiday, birthday, good times & bad too. Boys loved spending weekends with Aunt Barbara & Uncle Glenn. And they were spoiled rotten and didn't want to come home! Whenever I needed help they were always there for me. My heart has a hole in it, missing my friend so much. The only comfort have is that she is in heaven taking care of my loving son, Jim. Love & prayers Dear Glenn & Audrey.

In our house she was Aunt Barbara to our kids and to us. They loved her and looked forward to seeing her when they had the chance. She always fussed over them and they knew she loved them unconditionally. Barbara was one of the best, nicest people I have ever met. She and my wife Gerri were life long friends, even when were separated by a lot of miles. They'd talk and catch up about the kids and how life was treating us. Gerri will miss those conversations I know. Barbara is with her father, Curt, (Grandpop Curtis) and her heavenly Father so she's in a good place. We'll miss her.

I am fortunate to have many wonderful, loving memories of my dear "Angel" Aunt Barbara. We had an inside joke that we were both angels to each other to the point that she put my picture in and angel frame on her kitchen window sill. We were extremely close. After my mom passed away 28 years ago, Aunt Barbara stepped into her shoes. We had always been close with me spending a week each summer with her and Uncle Glenn. I love her with all my heart. She was always there for me through good times and bad with a sympathetic ear. We talked often and shared a lot. She was the most kind and caring people I have ever known. I have a huge void in my heart, but am comforted that she is in heaven with God and my Mom. She's not suffering and can now see again with no health issues. My love to my dear Uncle Glenn....we need to lean on each other. That's what family means. My prayers go out to Audrey as well. She must feel devastated after loosing her husband and now her only child. I am always here for you. My love to you all.
Shel
