Obituary of Kathleen L. Temmermand

Temmermand; Kathleen L. ( nee: Borzone ) Passed away on May 5, 2016 at the age of 61. Kathleen is survived by daughter Lauren; son Steven and daughter-in-law Meera; son David and daughter-in-law Rhea; grandchildren Lucy, Beau, and Remy; sister Linda and brother-in-law Glenn; brother Gregory; brother Jeffrey and sister-in-law Veronica; and other cherished relatives. A South Jersey native, Kathleen spent much of her professional life in the restaurant industry, building many friendships and offering her guests great hospitality. Looking for personal growth, Kathleen graduated Rutgers University in 2005. After university Kathleen worked in the mental health industry, helping children who are victims of sexual abuse. Kathleen felt rewarded by helping these children and preventing legacies of abuse. In her personal life, Kathleen loved the shore, art, and travel. Her favorite destination was Cape May. From her newborn baby, to her sand-covered youngsters, to her final weeks, Kathleen loved to bring her family to the beach. Kathleen studied art in university, visited museums around the world, and supported artists by providing space to exhibit and sell their art. She brightened her home with some of her favorite, local artists. Kathleen loved the experiences of travel and being in new environments. Her most recent trip took her on safari in South Africa. Regionally, she enjoyed annual trips to New York City around her favorite holiday, Christmas. She would race around New York City to her favorite spots: the windows at Macy’s and Lord and Taylor, the tree at Rockefeller Center, and the market stalls and ice rink in Bryant Park. Kathleen’s wishes were to be cremated without a viewing or funeral. She preferred that you remembered her as she was in life, not in death.
