Stells's a name for us that grew up in berlin that will never ever be forgotten, it was like a stars name or famous person, everyone knew about stella's , granmon took me there all the time , we got our corn there , and all other good veggies grown locally,, it was a house hold word , , so any way accross from stella's was a strawberry field and you could pick your own, they would give you the little wood boxes and you would pay for how ever many , you picked , well we had worked an area and we left the full boxes all sitting in a row in one of the isles, grandmom asked me to take a full one back to the others , i dont remember doing it , but i very well remember the incident , i took it back to put with others well when i got there i stepped in one of the boxes already picked , squashed them too,, i was about 10 years old, well i went back to where they were picking and never said a word, when they were done picking and went to leave they found the sqashed berries ,

Your dad will be missed by all of us who knew him and enjoyed his company, humor, and love of life....remembering the good times, long ago, of riding 'little eddy's' converted lawn mower, working in peach packing, minding 'the stand', flirting with the farm workers, st. mary's, etc.

Dear Stella family,
I am so sorry to hear about your family's (and our community's) great loss. I never knew Ed personally, but I have enjoyed the fruits of his labor every summer of my 26 years. Stella Farms has always been a welcome sight in our Berlin community, and I have some of the fondest memories picking out my produce there with my family. God bless.
