Obituary of Thomas P. Finnigan

Finnigan; Thomas P. Sr. On February 13, 2012, age 90 years of Brooksville, FL, formerly of Berlin, NJ. Preceded in death by his wife Stella ( nee: Walker ) of 53 years, and eldest son Everett. Survived by seven children Ann ( James ) Schaefer, Tom Jr. ( Marianne ), Edward ( Janet ), Jay ( Eileen ), Patrick ( Kathy ), Michael ( Carol ), Robert ( Janet ), a brother Joseph, a sister Madelyn Schrott, also survived by twenty-three cherished grandchildren and thirty-nine precious great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Tom was born on February 28, 1921 in Peekskill, NY, he attended Peekskill High School then served in the US Marine Corps. during WWII, including a years tour in the Pacific, ending his military career as a Staff Sgt.. After the war he worked for RCA until 1970, where he then began his career with PW Industries as a supervisor, then retiring as President of PW Industries Southern. Tom was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of the Marine Corps. League and is requesting in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the nearest Marine Corps League for their annual Toys for Tots Fundraiser. A viewing will be held Monday, February 20, 2012, 9:30am to 10:30am at the Knight Funeral Home, followed by a mass 11am at St. Simon Stock Parish / Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin. Interment with Military Honors Berlin Cemetery where he will be placed to rest next to Stella.
