Genevieve C. Smith Genevieve (Jean) C. Smith, of Swedesboro, NJ died on October 1, 2009 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ, surrounded by members of her loving family. She was a resident of the Lutheran Home in Moorestown, NJ since 2006. Jean was born in El Paso, Texas on July 14, 1920, moved to Missouri where she lived for many years. Jean later lived in Pennsylvania where she was employed in the Senate of Pennsylvania. Upon retirement, she became a resident of Swedesboro, NJ where she lived with her son, Mark Smith for over 20 years. Jean was a devoted member of the Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in Wenonah, NJ. Jean is survived by four children, John C. Farmer of Mechanicsburg, PA, Rebecca S. Mumma of Goshen, VA, Marianne Beckett of Shepherdstown, WVA, and Mark S. Smith of Swedesboro, NJ. She had seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Samuel A. D'Andelet of Centerville, Maryland. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of the Lutheran Home, 255 E. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev. Stephanie Steele and Rev. Ken Regan officiating. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home in Moorestown.
