Wilson, Rev. David A., Jr. Wilson, Rev. David A., Jr. Died Jan. 8, 2009, age 96. A resident of the Fountains at Cedar Parke in Atco, N.J., and formerly of Cherry Hill, N.J. Rev. Wilson was born in Phila. in 1912, the son of David A. Wilson and Clara A. Rockett. He grew up in Berlin, N.J. He was a graduate of Haddon Heights H.S. 1930, Dickenson College 1934, and received his S.T.B. from the Temple School of Theology. He is predeceased by a son, David A. Wilson, III. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Esther S. Wilson (nee Stone) of the Fountains of Cedar Parke, a son, Robert S. (Deborah) Wilson of Dagsboro, DE, four grandchildren, Janice (David) Hunt of Haddonfield, NJ, David A. (Kathy) Wilson, IV of Pitman, NJ, Susan (Larry) Quier of Windsor, VA, Kimberly L. Wilson of Millsboro, DE and seven great grandchildren. Rev. Wilson was a full member of the New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church and in his 45 year career served pastorates in Navesink, Quinton Island Heights, Tuckerton, Pennsville, Keyport, Wenonah, Haddonfield, and Milltown. He was appointed in 1965, as the Dir. of Admin. Services and Treasurer of the Conference and retired from that post in 1981. Rev. Wilson was an exempt volunteer fireman, a member of the F&AM Blue Lodge, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Excelsior Consistory A.A.S.R. Valley of Camden, Union League member and charter pres. of the lower Penns Neck Rotary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church. Family and friends may call at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Haddonfield United Methodist Church Building Fund, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, N.J. 08033. Final arrangements entrusted to: Knight Funeral Home.
