Obituary of Lillian M. Myers

Myers, Lillian Mae. Lillian Myers, 95, a long-time resident of Stratford, NJ, passed away in Norristown, PA. She had a wonderful life surrounded by family and friends. The daughter of Harry and Louise Jackel, she grew up with one brother and five sisters. She was married to Robert L. Myers for almost fifty years and continued to live in Stratford until recently. Much happiness has been brought into Lillians life by her dear son, Robert H. Myers, his wife Qiong and Lillians daughter, Dorothy Melosky and her husband, Paul Melosky. Also, she was Gram to Paul Melosky, Jr. and Patricia Koehlner and to Steven Melosky who recently commented on what a wonderful grandmother she was. From her Jackel family, Lillian has her sister, Lorraine Mitchell and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews who live in Washington State. Still in Stratford, Lillian has her brother Harrys family, Ferne Jackel and daughter, Jeanne Ridgway and husband, Bob and Harry Robert Jackel (Bob) also. They, too, have brought much joy to her heart. We are remembering the wonderful years of family get togethers and, their love and warmth. Lillian has spent over eighty years of her life in Stratford with family here and there, around the corner. She has a beloved niece, Louise Langin Conlon and her daughters and numerous other nieces and nephews who reside in NJ. In the 1920s, Lillian received a Certificate at Beauty College as a person qualified to do finger-waving, for a popular hairstyle during those interesting times. She was, also, a representative of Michelles Seed Company at the Philadelphia Flower Show. As her family grew, she became an employee of the former Strawbridge & Clothier in Philadelphia until she went into retirement years with her husband, Bob Myers, who left this life in 1986. Now, we are celebrating her life as we think of the beautiful family re-union she is having with her loved ones who have gone on including many, many, of our pets. Our love goes to her supportive family members and friends and to those at Towne Manor West in Norristown, PA as they gave her daily care. We are all paying our respects to our Mama, Lillian, at a private funeral.
