Dick; Albert Peacefully at home on October 6, 2013, age 87years of Berlin, NJ. Father of the late Nancy Rhodes and Alison McEwen. Survived by his devoted wife Lorraine ( nee: Eichmann ), loving daughter Chris and her husband Robert Schiavo of Lumberton, NJ, two sisters, Nancy Dick of Berlin, NJ, Florence Dick of Holland, PA, a brother Ronald of St. Augustine, FL, a son-in-law James Rhodes of Franklinville, NJ, also three cherished grandchildren, Adam Rhodes, Kelly McEwen, Albert Schiavo. Al served our country in WWII. His first tour of duty with the infantry and second tour with the Air Force as an airplane mechanic. After the military, he worked for RCA in Camden, NJ, then eventually became a letter carrier for the Clementon Post Office, which he retired from in 1988. He also had an inquisitive mind, could have a conversation with anyone, could practically fix everything and if he couldn't find it at Home Depot, he would make it. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 10, 11am at the Knight Funeral Home where family and friends may call 9:30am. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family request in lieu of flowers donations in Al's memory may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Marlton, NJ 08053.
