Snyder, Richard H "Dick"of Brigantine, Clearwater, FL formerly of Berlin passed away on Feb. 4th, 2013 at the age of 80. He is survived by his 4 children, Dennis & Barry of San Diego, CA, Gerald of Hayden, AL and Sandy and her husband Ron Fleming ofSt. Petersburg,FL. His sisters Jeanette Schmitt and her husband Frank of Blue Anchor and Karen Ulzheimer and her husband Rick of Woodbury Hts. His grandchildren, Johnny & Joseph Snyder ofSan Diego, John Rambo Snyder of Hayden and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his dear friend Betty Fleming of Marlton and his former wife Pauline McNally ofHayden,AL. Dick was in the Air Force and fought in the Korean War. He was a longtime resident ofBerlinwhere he and his wife Pauline owned and operated Snyder Studio since 1956 until his retirement. He was "The Wedding Photographer" for many. He was a past president of the Berlin Rotary Club and a member of the Palmyra String Band. He enjoyed surf fishing off the north end of Brigantine. He rode his bike the length of the AC boardwalk daily. He loved hanging out on his boat at Farley State Marina in AC and then hitting the casino up for some cash from the double double bonus poker machine. He also enjoyed parading with the Palmyra String Band on New Year's Day when they competed for the big prize. He loved the 4th of July celebration in Berlin. A few years ago he decided to spend the winters inClearwaterwith his daughter and the Phillies. They would ride their bikes to every game and sit in the right field berm and cheer on the Phils. He really took advantage of all of the wonderful things thatFloridahad to offer. But, he would always say that there is nothing like the "shore" in the summer. Mostly, he loved taking pictures. He would never leave home without his camera. He would photograph anything and everything however, he loved taking pictures of lighthouses. He loved his family, his friends old and new, and most of all, he loved life! A celebration of Dick's life will be held at a later date. The family requests that donations be made in his name to Suncoast Hospice 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, FL 33760 or The Berlin Fire Co. 59 South White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ.
