Jacqueline P. Van Dewater Obituary

Jacqueline (Jackie) P. Van Dewater (Mielechowsky)

Jackie passed suddenly on March 12, 2026. She was born in Shenandoah, PA, on May 20, 1939 and was a proud 1957 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School.

Dear mother to seven children, amazing grandmother and great-grandmother, friend to many, known for showing her love by cooking and baking everyone’s favorite dishes and desserts. She was always up for road trips, camping, cards, bingo, lunches, and family dinners - at 86 years young!

We believe that she is now in the presence of God and has joined her beloved husband, Forrest, and other loved ones who have predeceased her.

Very much missed and survived by her children: Betty (John) Trovato, Kenneth (Peggy) Van Dewater, Donna Bovill, Theresa (Jim) Richtman, Stella (Mark) Baker, Forrest (Jenn) Van Dewater III, and Henry Van Dewater. And cherished grandchildren: Rachel (Victor) Harwood, Aaron (Virginia) Trovato, Briana (Matt) Martin, Jonathan Lashkevich, Gloria Lashkevich, Melanie Richtman, Jacqueline (Colton) Morgan, Caitlyn Richtman, Diana Richtman, Jamie Richtman, Brielle Baker (Greg Johnston), Mark Baker, Kyle Baker, David (Abigail) Van Dewater, Sean (Madisen) Van Dewater, Grace (Ryan) Corson, Kalie Van Dewater (George Funk), and Harrison Van Dewater. Also survived by her beloved 10 great grandchildren, her brother Alex (Georgeann) Mielechowsky, multiple nieces and nephews, and her dear friend, Frances (Fran) Spolar.

Family and friends are invited for a celebration of her life on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3 to 5pm at Berlin Baptist Church, 90 E Broad St. Berlin, NJ 08009. Private burial at later date.
