On December 1, 2025 age 84years of Berlin, NJ , passed away peacefully at home. Mike was born in Philadelphia in 1941 to Polly and Garry Metzler.
Mike dedicated career to transportation, working for SEPTA and later retiring from PATCO High Speed Line. He was the husband to the late Mary Metzler and father to the late Michael Jr.
He is survived by his children Scott ( Maria ) of Glassboro, NJ, Mary ( Ken ) Christiance of Cary, NC, and Bryan ( Kathy ) of Lindenwold, NJ. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren, Amanda, Michael, and Steven, also great-grandfather to Caleb, Grace, Olivia, and Nathan. He also is survived by his sister, Polly Kane of Williamstown, NJ.
Mike will be remembered for his love of history, classic films, hunting, and his lifelong passion for the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. His humor and storytelling brought joy to family and friends throughout his life and will be deeply missed.
