Virginia R. DiFillippo, (nee Coppolino), age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by
her family on September 13th.
Born in Waterford, NJ to James and Giovannina (Jennie) Coppolino, Virginia was raised
in Berlin, NJ. As a child, Virginia enjoyed working on the small "farm" located behind
her home, where the family spent a lot of time tending to their many vegetables and
plants Virginia graduated from Haddon Heights High School, and upon graduation, she
worked as a Legal Secretary, which led to an almost 50 year career. During her working
years, Virginia pursued her dream of obtaining a Bachelor Degree, and in 1985, she
fulfilled that dream by earning a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration. After
Virginia retired, she spent much of her time traveling with her husband Ray, spending
time with her grandchildren and eventually her great grandchildren, playing cards with
friends, and getting involved with planning trips for residents in the community in which
she lived.
Virginia is predeceased by her husband Raymond and is survived by her children
James (Michele), Paul (Suzanne), and Diane. Also she is survived by her grandchildren
Christine, Gina, Amanda, Marisa, Nicholas, Anthony, Paulie, Ariana, and Mia. In
addition, Virginia is survived by her four great grandchildren Aiden, Giovanni, Candice,
and Atley. She will also be missed by her sister Janet and husband Thomas Emerson
and many nieces and nephews, along with her caregivers Flo and Mazy who we owe much gratitude toward for taking such wonderful care of our Mom
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral services on Friday, September 19th at
9:30am to 10:45am at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, 349 Evesboro-Medford Road, Marlton,
NJ, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at
Calvary Cemetery, Route 70, Cherry Hill, NJ.
Family requests NO Flowers please. In lieu of flowers, donations in Virginia's memory may be made to Serenity Hospice, 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
