Margaret Florence Walker, nee McCreary, aged 90 of Stratford NJ, died peacefully in her home on Thursday February 2nd, surrounded by loved ones. Margaret was born on June 10, 1932 in Summit Hill, Pa. She grew up in Pine Grove in Clementon, NJ and attended Lower Camden County Regional High School. After high school, Margaret attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene graduating with a degree in 1952. She was among the first graduating class of hygienists from that school. She worked as a dental hygienist until retiring in 1984. Margaret loved music and dancing, especially line dancing. She line danced and taught classes twice a week well into her 80’s at the Atco Senior Center and the Stratford Senior Center. She was also a talented pianist and enjoyed her time playing in the Bell Choir at the Stratford Methodist Church where she was a member since 1960. When Margaret wasn’t line dancing, she was quilting. Her family and friends will always be wrapped in her love via her beautiful quilts. Nothing meant more to Margaret than family and her greatest joy was spending time with them. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Les, her husband of 63 years. She is survived by sons W. Ronald Walker (Donna), Alan Walker (Bonnie) and daughter Nancy (Walker) Bourgeois, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and countless dear friends. Services will be held at Knight Funeral Home, 14 Rich Avenue, Berlin, NJ. Visitation is from 11-12:30pm, service at 12:30 immediately followed by internment at Berlin Cemetery, 40 Clementon Rd, Berlin, NJ In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Margaret’s Honor to the Hospice Foundation of America or to The Animal Adoption Center in Lindenwold, NJ.
