Obituary of Elizabeth "Bette" M. Alkazin

Alkazin; Elizabeth (Bette) M. (Nee: Pigott) Passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on February 22nd age 94 years of Winslow Twp. to join Bill, her husband of 70 years. Bette was born in Cedar Brook, NJ on August 26, 1922 to the late Harry and Erma (Nee: Davis) also predeceased by a brother Frank Willis, sister Mary Spiegel, nephew Robert Spiegel, and son in law Bruce Stock. Survived by two loving daughters Rebecca A. Stock and Mary E. (Ronald) Conrad, three grandchildren Jessica Zielke, William J. (Katrina) Zielke , Adam J. (Sandra) Stock, and also two great grandchildren Danny McCloskey Jr. and Leanne Zielke. There are three step grandchildren Stacey Conrad, Julie Conrad, Lori Conrad-Snader along with two step great granddaughter's Autum Snader and Kaylee Snader, a very special niece Peggy (Richard) Ims, and the joy of her life, two cats, Big Boy and Momma, they will miss her dearly. A special thanks to Holy Redeemer Hospice for their loving manner and extended care. Bette spent her early years in Ocean City, NJ, which she loved. She and her husband were the owners of Alkazin's Greenhouses for many years after working at the Cherry Hill Mall for Strawbridges from the day the doors opened. Family and friends are invited to attend Bette's Viewing on Monday, February 27th from 10am to 11am at Knight Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will immediately follow. Interment Shreves Cemetery in Blue Anchor, NJ. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shreves Cemetery Maintenance fund in care or Mary Conrad, caretaker, 86 South Route 73, Hammonton, NJ 08037. I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun. Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
